Missouri’s Credit Union Advocacy Program

Each credit union serves as an advocate for the credit union movement. There are specific areas and activities that help set credit unions apart from other financial services, and demonstrate a well-rounded focus on the community. By dividing these activities into five specific sections, it shows that each type of effort - and each person working on these activities - makes a difference.

How Does The Program Work?

You Make the Difference (YMTD) divides credit union activities into five sections, to help identify which activities help accomplish different advocacy goals. Five sections each have a maximum of 25 points, and a total of 125 points. The goal is to reach the maximum in each section and participate in a wide variety of advocacy activities.

Levels of Achievement and Rewards

You Make a Difference ensures that you are rewarded for your efforts. When your credit union reaches each level of achievement, you receive additional rewards. If your credit union exceeds 125 points, keep tracking. Each credit union that exceeds 125 points will have a chance to win a grand prize.

Worksheets

Use the worksheets to help you organize your credit union’s events and points earned throughout the year. Please submit this information each month to MCUA at PR@mcua.org so we can effectively track and publicize your hard work.

Track and submit points monthly from January 1 - December 31, adding in each new month's activities on the provided worksheets.  The You Make the Difference worksheets are in Excel format so that points are automatically calculated. Worksheets are reviewed by the Missouri Credit Union Association.
