Each credit union serves as an advocate for the credit union movement. There are specific areas and activities that help set credit unions apart from other financial services, and demonstrate a well-rounded focus on the community. By dividing these activities into five specific sections, it shows that each type of effort - and each person working on these activities - makes a difference.
You Make the Difference (YMD) divides credit union activities into five sections, to help identify which activities help accomplish different advocacy goals. Five sections each have a maximum of 25 points, and a total of 125 points. The goal is to reach the maximum in each section and participate in a wide variety of advocacy activities.
Track points monthly from January 1 - December 31* with the provided worksheets. Points are tabulated by the Missouri Credit Union Association.
*BONUS: In 2008, credit unions can include points from November-December 2007 in their 2008 totals.
